"Uzuri" - Swahili word for "a beautiful place". Set high in the hills, affording north facing views of unspoiled bush, valleys, & the majestic blue Waterberg Mountains. A home from home, it is luxuriously equipped, self-catering, with daily servicing / hosting inclusive.  

The Lodge is perfectly situated with a few other "whole owners" homes, well away from the busier timeshare area of the farm. The tension of city life drops off your shoulders as the silence, fresh air, and peace of the bushveld envelop you. From spacious north facing patios and bedrooms, drink in magical sunrises and sunsets. Hear Lions roar and the night calls of the wild. Watch the game from the elevated patios of the lodge. UZURI LODGE ACCOMMODATION

Uzuri sleeps 10 people(11th on sofa couch or extra mattress).

UPSTAIRS - 6 people in 3 private double rooms (2 rooms with queen beds, 1 room with 2 single beds). Main bedroom with queen bed, en-suite. 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, 3 toilets.

DOWNSTAIRS - 2 people in 4th double bedroom (with queen bed en-suite and private TV / DVD); 2 people (suits kids/ singles) in 5th family room attached to games room with 2 single beds & extra shower/ toilet.

UZURI Lodge is FULLY EQUIPPED with linen, towels, all cooking utensils etc. Just bring your clothes, food, drinks. Helpful personal items you should bring: Pool towels, DVDs, games, binoculars, camera, & mosquito repellent, charcoal, firewood. 

MABALINGWE GAME INCLUDES Africa’s “Big 5” Elephant, Lion, White Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard. Also, Hippopotamus, Giraffe, Eland, Kudu, Gemsbuck, Waterbuck, Impala, Burchell’s Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Caracal, Jackal, Spotted Hyena, Antbear, Warthog, Honey badger, Porcupine, & African wild cat. The LION are separately kept, away from the lodges, for the safety of guests on the farm. Walking / riding allowed at own risk.

ACTIVITIES IN & AROUND MABALINGWE - Call 014 0017011 to book for these. 

1. Predator Feeding excursion – Enjoy a talk & view the feeding of Lion & other rehabilitation & breeding project animals (spotted hyena, cerval cat, karakul, cheetah, & wild dog) Sunday & Wednesday. 

2. Mabalingwe Clubhouse & Restaurant - Just a 10-15 minute drive from the lodge, the clubhouse has a quality restaurant & ladies bar with amazing views. No need to book.

3. Kalahari Oasis Bush Pub - don't miss this gem, where the iconic Castrol ads were filmed & shown on South Africa's first TV. Ask the friendly barman to play video clips. Have a good laugh & a cooler. Go down memory lane with 60s memorabilia. Give Fanie the Skeleton a hug & sit on the old cars. A great game drive pitstop.  

4. Mabalingwe Spa - at the reception area. Full body massage, pedicure, manicure or exfoliation treatment. 

5. More Mabalingwe Activities - horseback game viewing, heated & large swimming pools, ranger driven game drives, 4x4 trails, tennis courts, squash, putt putt, kids entertainment. 

6. "Elements" Golf course - only 3 k's from the lodge, exiting Mabalingwe from the BACK (NOT Main) gate. 

7. Many other wildlife activities outside of reserve - Elephant Walking, Cheetah sanctuary, & Warm Baths.
